Facemasks

Dear Parents and Guardians
This afternoon we have received an update on the use of face coverings and indoor meetings for the Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Leaders. In Scout HQ words
‘we have been advised of a change in regard to face coverings by the Scottish Government that must take effect as soon as possible. For the purposes of youth work activity, face coverings should be worn indoors by all young people, staff and volunteers aged 14 years and over. We also recommend that those under the age of 14 years should be encouraged to wear a face covering.’
With this in mind and with immediate effect the 1st Elgin Scout Group shall:
1. All Cubs, Scouts and Adults will wear a Facemask inside the hall (please provide your own suitable mask). 2. Beavers are encouraged to wear facemask, however we do accept due to their age that this maybe hard to achieve. 3. In line with the governments guidance anyone who normally do not need to wear a mask for medical grounds will also not need to wear a mask at indoor sessions. Please make the section lead aware in advance.
Kind regards
Andre Govier
