Community woodland & field

We have leased (10 yrs) a woodland from the Moray Council, this along with our existing grassed land is now a real a community asset. As an organisation we recognise that this land is unique in Elgin, it is close to the centre and a safe environment for all users.
Both sections of the land is available to groups to use. Please use the contact us for further details .

Users of the land are

Liberty Kids Nursery . 4 days a week (0900 to 1430). 20 -30 kids.

Cedarwoods – Moray Council    (daycentre for adults with disabilities).
Presently use the grassland for football and golf and plan to grow vegetables and flowers in the wood.

Weir Blackbelt Academy  During the Summer and Autumn they run 6 days a week over numerous sessions on the land with upto 30 pers taking part. They are returning when COVID and weather allows.

Moray Pathways (supports young people)  Please see for a video of the land in use. They had a marque up for 4 months and utilised the land 4 times a week.

Scout Group  , activities including weekly meetings camping and archery for 6 -14 ½ year oldsDistrict and international Scouting groups – we have already had District and international Scouts camp and use the land

Moray DofE  They have just relocated all their equipment into storage on the land and carry out activities on the site

Out of the Darkness Theatre . looking to do outdoor productions and training on the land when COVID restriction allow.

Greewards Primary School – use the woods 3 times a week
